Changchun SinoBiomaterials Co., Ltd. was founded in 2007 by academician Xuesi Chen with the support of a group of internationally renowned polymer chemists and physicists. At SinoBiom, we produce ultrahigh performance bioactive polylactic acid for medical use on a large scale with core capabilities of controlled polymerization and multifactor polymer physical modification. Products cover a range of fields: orthopedics, trauma surgery, sports medicine, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery, to name a few. SinoBiom has 14 Class III medical device registration certificates, 11 Class II medical device registration certificates, 25 Class I filing certificates, and more than 160 patents. The group includes a team of more than 500 employees, including 2 academicians, 13 doctors, 62 with master's degrees, and 9 postdoctoral fellows, offering strong technological innovation and transformation capabilities.

As a high-tech company, SinoBiom has more than 160 patents. The production line meets the requirements of the ISO13485 quality management system for producing multiple types of medical-grade polylactic acid polymer materials with a capacity of 10 tons per year. The bioabsorbable screws, plates, artificial bones, craniofacial fixation systems, interference screws, and suture anchors developed by the company excel in both the preparation process and in performance. These bioabsorbable products are naturally absorbed into the body, eliminating the need for a second surgery, which greatly reduces patient suffering. Bioabsorbable products are gradually replacing some metal products in clinical use.
